Playing With Fire

Since 2010, the number of frontline fire engines in West Sussex has been cut by 25% and response times are now the worst they have ever been. Deaths in fires have increased substantially over the same period.

Labour would reverse some of the short-sighted changes made during the recent round of cuts and oppose handing over the fire and rescue service to the Police and Crime Commissioner in Lewes.
