Councillor Margaret Howard was first elected to Broadwater Ward in May, 2018. She is a former teacher of Physics and Chemistry and Student Mentor and has worked in Local Government, Housing Rebates and Arrears. Margaret is standing for re-election in Broadwater to build on the work and experience gained with four years service.

After hearing many heart breaking stories, she wanted to  represent those who, through no fault of their own, could not stand up for themselves. She will be a voice for those who are vulnerable, have a hand in changing policy and stand up to injustice in the system.

She serves on the council’s Scrutiny Committee, volunteers for the Samaritans, is local coordinator of Acorn Community Union and has set up Communi-Tea to offer help and advice.

Margaret supports Labour because it supports those that need it so that everyone can fulfil their potential. It puts people before profit but also supports small and local businesses who find it hard to compete with large corporations. It is the party of diversity and believes everyone is equal even though they are not treated equally by society.

Vote for Margaret to continue representing the residents of Broadwater Ward alongside fellow Labour Councillors, Dawn Smith and Cathy Glynn-Davies.
