As a Coastal town, Worthing residents have first hand experience of the damage done by plastic to our shores and sea life.

Plastic is an amazing material, but it is not designed for single use. Every piece of plastic – unless it has been burned – still exists. At least two-thirds of plastic packaging in the UK is not recycled, with much of it actually unrecyclable.

The signatories of this petition call on Worthing Borough Council to vote in favour of making Worthing a plastic free town by 2021, and to support the work needed to make this happen.
