Hope Not Hate, a National advocacy group that campaigns against racism and fascism, has revealed that Conservative Worthing Borough Councillor, Tim Wills, is an active member of Patriotic Alternative, racial nationalist and fascist organisation that seeks the removal of ethnic minorities from the UK.
Cllr Wills was elected to Worthing Borough Council representing Marine Ward in 2019. He is currently Vice-chair of the Joint Governance Committee, a member of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and is Policy Advisor to the Executive Member for Resources.
n a damning article published today on Hope not Hate’s website, Cllr Wills is identified as an enthusiastic and active member of Patriotic Alternative’s private chat group on Telegram.
In June this year he wrote:
“Trying to infiltrate and influence those in power is our initial best way forward as we have no chance of political power any time soon, sadly. My view is Tories are best of a rotten lot as still have a right wing minority who are on side”
Cllr Wills on Telegram, 11/06/2021
Just a month ago he wrote:
“No more listening to the lies they spread, it’s the day of reckoning for the blood we share!”

In other posts on the group over the last few months he writes about Covid:
“My view is Covid is a loss maker for us, we just need to centre on white genocide […] because many of our white race are convinced about vaccines, but not about our replacement, and need to be informed about this?”
Cllr Wills on Telegram, 22/09/2021
And he urged fellow members to “Remember the 14 words”, a reference to the 14-word white supremacist slogan “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children”, a call to arms formulated by white supremacist terrorist David Lane, who was sentenced to 190 years in prison for his role in the murder of a Jewish journalist.
Cllr Rebecca Cooper, Leader of the Worthing Labour Group and also a Ward Councillor in Marine, today called for his immediate resignation as a Councillor and his removal from public office if he fails to resign.
“I am appalled that Cllr Wills is part of, and sympathetic to the views expressed by, this fascist organisation. As an elected representative, he holds the privilege and responsibility of working with everyone in Marine Ward and across Worthing Borough. For Cllr Wills to hold and express views on white supremacy and the removal of ethnic minorities from our Communities is not a view that has any place in Worthing Council, regardless of Party or Politics.
“We understand that the Council Leader, Cllr Daniel Humphreys, has announced that Cllr Wills has been suspended from the Conservative Party and from membership of the Conservative Group on the Council pending investigation by the Party,” said Cllr Cooper. “We think this is a feeble response to very serious allegations and the matter just can’t stop there.
“By expressing those abhorrent views, Cllr Wills has shown himself to be a person who is not capable of representing all those who live in his Ward and his presence would be a stain on the integrity of the Council as a whole.”
“He is clearly not a fit person to hold public office. As leader of the Council, Cllr Humphreys should join us in calling for him to resign with immediate effect. And he should apply pressure on Cllr Wills, as a former colleague of his, to resign now before the reputation of the Council is damaged any further.
