Councillor Cathy Glynn-Davies
Councillor for Broadwater Ward on Worthing Borough Council
Catherine has wealth of experience serving the community.
After an early career that included the Legal Dept of London Borough of Islington, Catherine progressed to care management and then to teaching at Northbrook College. She taught for HM Prison service and then as a dyslexia specialist. More recently she has taught at a primary school and is currently teaching English as a Second Language. She is strongly committed to equal access to education and lifelong learning for all.
As Vice-Chair of Sompting Parish Council, she was involved in projects to improve the local environment, including Sompting in the Countryside and the Epic Project. Her four grown-up children are all actively engaged in Worthing and, having four grandchildren, she is keenly aware of the global threat to their future well-being, recognising that the community needs to come together to make a difference.
Her interest in the arts includes drawing and painting and she is keen to promote the work of other local artists.
